On a lighter note: Just Jiving! GETTING YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BACKSIDE Nowadays, I hear the phrase "Get Your Head Out Of your Ass" so often, I sometimes wonder what it really means. Although I get the general drift and the message is quite clear if you take certain circumstances into consideration; Where did that phrase actually come from? Who invented it and what were they thinking? Short of being a Contortionist, how does a human head reach those nether regions? I sometimes imagine a person literally sticking their own head up their own backside, an anatomical impossibility, except perhaps, you work in a circus. Is there a particular formula to achieving such a gross thingy? After the head had been up there for a while and someone suddenly says GYHOOYAss…..will it come out with a popping sound or what? I would not like to be in such an environment anyway, think of the smell. Personally, I would rather tell someone they got shit for brains than ask them...

Hello friends, I am rethinking my blog, reworking and creating new material to put on here. The story will continue shortly. Meanwhile I'm busy recording some new and relevant songs to put here.  The aim remains the same, to inform, educate and entertain all at the same time. A tall order that can be achieved. Stories are all works of fiction. Names, characters, place and events are the product of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events and places is totally coincidental He was sitting quietly on a long bench made from thick wooden slats, the bench stretched across the whole width of the cell and was firmly embedded into the wall at both ends. His head cradled in his palms as he stared at the floor, Fafo was full of self pity and regret. His immaculately shined shoes was at one end of the bench while he sat at the other end.  It had been impossible to get any sleep because of the noise coming from an adjacent cell. The police officers had stopped checking up on the female occupant who was raising hell with her banging and shrieking. Her yelling only confirmed to them that she was alright, so they ignored her shouting, but she never gave up, the noise continued till dawn. They looked in on her more frequently now, because she was quiet....

Apologies, the proposed story "Can You See Me?" is not ready to be posted. January 2013 for me, has been a challenge. The extremely cold weather threatened when the central heating packed up. The burst pipe filled my work/living space with cold water, saturating the walls and resulted in my hasty exit from a damp bedroom. The weather was only one of the many things that has made january so far, a challenge. Everything that could go wrong, simply went wrong. It would have been very easy for me to throw my hands in the air and give up. I soldiered on, worked around the problems when I could. I had to, because I believe it is all worthwhile. Music and entertainment artists must constantly evolve to stay in business.  Today's music artists has to be more than a musician, singer or instrumentalist. Being any of those is now considered as just a job description. What makes today's artist stand out is the branding, i.e. the artist has to become a brand in his or her own right. This is what will give the artist an edge over his peers in what is now considered a very competitive and high risk endeavour.  Getting the brand image to stand out, is almost more important than the product itself. So to be recognisable today, an artiste with a product such as digital downloads, CDs and Video not only has to merchandise items such as tee shirts, baseball caps etc., they will have to have a branded image. The artist has to become a brand in their own right. The main essence of the brand will be unique to the artist themselves. Today is Christmas day, a time Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of the Savior, our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. He was the original soul man, the no. 1 soul brother, who showed us the way to live. He was a teacher who had no equal, he taught us that above all else, love is the key. To love our fellow human beings as much as we love ourselves. I wish the whole world peace and happiness in the coming year. Peace in those lands where there is conflict. Plenty in those lands where there is poverty and hunger. Joy in those places that have known nothing but sorrow. Love to fill the hearts and souls of those that hate.
