Flaming Flamingoes (cond..)

Stories are all works of fiction. Names, characters, place and events are the product of the author's imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events and places is totally coincidental Within twenty fours hours of bumping into Zeke and company, things started to happen, all my worries about not getting the players for my team evaporated. I was virtually bumping into prospects everywhere I went. I was at the movies when an acquaintance leaned over from the seats behind and whispered in my ear that he had a talented friend he would like me to meet, I agreed and that is how I met Ade. This guy looked and acted older than he really was and because I was impressed with his demeanour, I agreed to try him out. The only condition Ade impressed upon me was that his parents must never find out about this and I promised him my discretion. Ade sailed through our football trials with flying colours. He was truly gifted and quite modest about it. I found out later tha...

China Shines!

China has won the first gold medal at London 2012, well done the peoples republic. This is a great start to the sporting events of these olympics.  The first gold of these olympics was won by Yi Si Ling in the 10 meter air rifle event. We are now into the sports proper after the spectacular opening ceremony.  I tried to take a picture of the Red Arrows flying over Hyde park from my kitchen window yesterday but for a phone call, the camera might have memorialised that display. I hope to have better luck next time. Meanwhile if anything interesting happens, I may divulge. Later, 'Bodederek

Less than 24 hours..

Less than twenty four hours to the opening ceremony for London 2012, I am wishing all athletes, visitors to our city including the spectators, officials and the vast number of the nameless individuals who have contributed to this sporting and cultural spectacle all the best and say thank you. It is here now and the best way to honour and appreciate it, is to enjoy it. The olympics promotes a healthy spirit of competition, it also promotes a sporting bond amongst nations and that is a good thing.  There is nothing more I can say that hasn't already been said so I'll just withdraw for now while we wait for the opening ceremony to begin. Adios for now, 'Bodederek

OLYMPICS

One week to go..... A quick welcome from me to all the visitors arriving in London for the 2012 Olympic Games. Despite the economic recession and regional conflicts in different parts of the world, it is a good thing for the human family to come together and enjoy the spectacle the event brings us every four years. The whole world will be focussing on London during the games. Every nation will be cheering their athletes on to medal glory and I'm hoping that the healthy spirit of competition will help to bring nations together.  The love of sport is one thing that human beings share no matter where we live on the globe and I hope  that this games will be a healthy distraction from economic gloom and ruthless rivalries taking place in some parts of the world. After all, there is really only one race on our planet and that is the human race... Peace out! 'Bodederek

Reorganising

l My blog site has been on a trial and error basis. I am trying to get partners and collaborators to work with. I am also seeking investors to come in with me and finance a business venture that will make a tidy profit for those who are willing to participate. The current explosion within information technology has also created opportunities for those who have a talent for writing, making music, movie and documentary production. In short, despite the gloomy economic situation, the time for certain businesses to start up and thrive is now. Although the chance to build a strong viable business exists, to actually plan, create a solid foundation and begin trading requires a lot of initial work that needs the input and the skills of certain professionals and an infusion of a decent working capital. At present, I am rethinking my blog and also the direction of the sites that are currently active on the Internet. I will continue to write my short stories to entertain the visitors to...
